They are fairly easy to keep and are a beginner plant. The Rotundifolia has a moderate growth rate and enjoys Iron supplementation to fill it's color. Check out the "Red" variant!

AS OF 11.19.21 FULLY UNDERWATER CONVERTED AND AWESOME

We give it a 2 on a difficulty scale from 1 to 10!

Care Scale of 1-10:

2.  Rotala is included in our BEGINNER PLANTED AQUARIUM COMBO PACKAGE for a reason! It's easy!

Lighting:

My experience with Rotala is that it is undemanding of high light, but will grow more compact in higher light. Rotala rotundifolia will be a bit more leggy in lower light.

Anywhere from Foreground to background depending on how well you keep it, the size of your tank, and can easily be trimmed if it becomes too tall, but will never be as tall as a Hygro nachimale for example

Growth Juice and Iron Supplements for your plants!!

Make sure you check out our other Rotalas. We have Rotala Macrandra, both BIG LEAF Rotala Macrandra and SMALL Leaf Rotala Macrandra

Complete waste, plants mostly DOA

My order was placed ahead of a weekend trip and I wasn't sure if they'd arrive before or after the trip, so I promptly emailed and asked to have it processed the following Monday, to which Dustin's obliged.

When i received my plants, they were in very bad shape - some of the worse I've seen in a delivery. It was chalked up to melt, so I added them to my tanks. As 2 weeks in-tank progressed, just about all the plants were completely dead and reduced to a brown mush at the bottom of the tanks. So at this point, I followed up to inform that as I had suspected, it wasn't just a melting period. Didnt get a reply for a handful of days until I sent another follow up message.

The following days were back and forth, asking about my experience with plants, lighting, tank temperature, fertilizer regiment, inhabitants of the tanks, etc. Bear in mind, all of my previous plants are still doing perfectly, so it's unlikely to be anything other than the plants received.

After multiple days of Q&A about the tanks, the response I received was that that's unusual, and they have no idea why that happened. I'm wondering if they didn't wait to process my order as requested and decided to bag/package it up, and my order was sitting in a box in a warehouse for 5 or 6 days before even being shipped.

Waste of over $100 in plants, no offer to correct the situation by refund nor replacement. And keep in mind, every one of the plants that's been in my tanks for years is alive and well. So it's safe to say the problem isn't my tanks. There was no reply received after I responded to the most recent message.

TLDR: wasted over $100 on plants that arrived on their last leg and didn't make it, reason they give is essentially "that's odd, no clue" and no route to correct the situation despite loads of information and photos provided, all as requested.

We aren't perfect but we try to fix issues. My team did as you said and held the order. Tracking is right here. 3 days in transit. https://www.ups.com/track?loc=en_US&requester=ST&trackNums=1ZAC26820310720319/trackdetails

We were in great communication with you, 14 emails. They came in looking great. Something crashed in your tank. There was a bunch of unreconizable stuff in the photos that died. (I would post photos if I could of them. the rest of the tank was NOT fine.) You said yourself you were outta town, something happened. I'm sorry. I'll look into this more, but I don't think this is on us.

1st time with this plant

This arrived in great condition, and there was more than I ordered. I actually split all of it into two tanks and it looks really good.

Very healthy

As always, plants arrived healthy despite the freezing cold temperatures in Northern New England. Not as tall and full as the photos but plants do this thing called growing ;) So far so good. Plus, I received two beautiful bonus ludwigia inclinatas. Needless to say, I have another order coming.
