Red Tiger Lotus- (Dwarf Aquarium Lily)- EASY RED Aquarium Plant
Red Tiger Lotus are an amazing plant that I really just got into not all that long ago. I love the big red leaves and the unique shape of the plant. As with most red plants, with Red Tiger Lotus, you are going to want to make sure that they have substantial nutrients in their substrate. The better the substrate the better the Red Tiger Lotus will grow. I wouldn't advise trying to keep a Red Tiger Lotus without Dirt or some really substantial root fertilizer.
They say to cut it back so it grows better. I have never personally done this, but it isn't a bad idea for how to care for a red tiger lotus. The Red Tiger Lotus is from west Africa and just looks great as a contrast in you planted aquarium tank. You get so much of an interesting plant with such a great red that I really love this plant.
Red Tiger Lotus is totally a top ten favorite plant of mine.
WARNING- The bulb might come away from the plant. It will be ok and you might get a SECOND PLANT from the bulb. Just plant the newly free plant.
NOTE: These plants are soo phat that I hand wrap them in wet paper so that they are delivered perfectly to you.
This plant might lose a leaf or two in shipping as they are so thin, but they grow back quickly.

Unfortunately, the plants came in pretty beat up. The Anubis actually looked great but the tiger lotus had one stem still attached to the bulb, the bacopa was pretty yellowed out and lots of leaves were falling off, the rotala was ok the mayaga and ludwigia were pretty unhappy. They are under lights now and perfect water conditions so hope they make a recovery. I think that many days in transit is just too long. Just got them yesterday ( Tuesday). A little disappointed but we will see.
Bulbs came with a VERY flimsy leaf

Received and planted right away. This picture was taken 3days after I planted the Red Lotus. It's very healthy and growing. Justin I am very satisfied with the plants I received and would appreciate if you can suggest a plant that I can add to my 90 gallon aquarium.. TiA
