Water Wisteria AKA The HARDIEST Hygrophila (Hygrophila difformis)
These have been underwater in a big deep basin for 2 1/2-3 weeks and should transition perfect to your aquarium.
These are NICE Underwater grown plants with decent roots. The tops have the split leaf underwater growth, there are still some leaves with the above water more oval leaves lower.
They are about 6-7 inches tall. They are a NITRATE SPONGE!

Water Wisteria is simply an AWESOME beginner plant. Water Wisteria AKA Hygrophila difformis, can take anything you can throw at it.
True to it's latin name, difformis means to be irregularly or unevenly or differently formed. This hygrophila's foliage is ruffled and unique, adding a striking texture to your tank.
Wisteria one of those plants that when you get it going it will grow like a weed. Try it out while you are a rookie and see. Water Wisteria does well in a newly planted tank.
I like to float it personally as it gets more light and send off some really great long flowing roots. Fish love hiding and breeding in Water Wisteria's roots.
In an order you get 4-6 nice bushy stems of it, often with great roots already going.
The stems are beefy as if they have been growing in down in dirt. This picture doesn't do this great plant justice... This is one of our best selling plants for a reason. We grow them in a 90 gallon aquarium in the greenhouse which gets FULL morning sun. The plants love this and grow like crazy for us...then on to you.

I am not super new to the hobby and since most companies send you a sprig or two of some half dead plants, I ordered two of the water wisteria to make sure I actually got enough. I’ll be honest in the fact that I’ve wanted to order for a while but was always put off by the cost. $40 (after taxes and shipping) for 2 plants hurt my soul a little.
I live in Texas where the highs have been over 100 for the past couple of weeks and my shipping took a day longer because UPS “couldn’t find my address”. I just knew my $40 purchase was going to come in as a dead mess….
I don’t think words can properly express the sheer awe I was in when I opened my box from Dustin’s Fishtanks!! There was obviously quite a bit of dead and dying leaves, which I expected due to lack of sun and the brain melting heat; however the sheer volume of stems included made it look like I was shipped a small bush! Had I known it would be this many stems, I would have only ordered 1!!
My husband walked into the kitchen to see me painstakingly removing the dead/dying foliage and rinsing roots and I’m almost certain he was wondering why I was dispatching a shrubbery!
There were so many and they were so big that 1/2 of one bundle filled the area I needed in my tank. I have the rest floating in my 55 gallon to be dispersed to fellow fish keeping friends and the science lab aquariums at a local elementary campus this coming week. All of the stems have bounced back beautifully and it’s only been a few days!!
I went from making a hesitant order as a birthday present to myself to being a solid repeat customer! Will DEFINITELY be ordering with NO hesitation the next time I need to add some plants to a tank!

The plants arrived in excellent condition; I had ordered the cooler due to the temperature exceeding 100 degrees. They are now growing well!
