These have been underwater in a big deep basin for 2 1/2-3 weeks and should transition perfect to your aquarium.

These are NICE Underwater grown plants with decent roots. The tops have the split leaf underwater growth, there are still some leaves with the above water more oval leaves lower.

They are about 6-7 inches tall. They are a NITRATE SPONGE!

XL POTTED Water Wisteria photos are labeled "XL POTTED"

ABOVE WATER photos are labeled "ABOVE WATER"

Water Wisteria is simply an AWESOME beginner plant. Water Wisteria AKA Hygrophila difformis, can take anything you can throw at it.

True to it's latin name, difformis means to be irregularly or unevenly or differently formed. This hygrophila's foliage is ruffled and unique, adding a striking texture to your tank.

Wisteria one of those plants that when you get it going it will grow like a weed. Try it out while you are a rookie and see. Water Wisteria does well in a newly planted tank.

I like to float it personally as it gets more light and send off some really great long flowing roots. Fish love hiding and breeding in Water Wisteria's roots.

In an order you get 4-6 nice bushy stems of it, often with great roots already going.

The stems are beefy as if they have been growing in down in dirt. This picture doesn't do this great plant justice... This is one of our best selling plants for a reason. We grow them in a 90 gallon aquarium in the greenhouse which gets FULL morning sun.  The plants love this and grow like crazy for us...then on to you.

NOTE: While Water Wisteria is one of our best selling aquarium plants, we do stock other forms of Hygrophila as well. Many of our Hygrophila's are just as hardy, check out our HARDY Hygrophila Cordata RED,

Or Hygrophila Cherry Leaf, or Hygrophila Compact

Care Scale of 1-10: ( 1- it can grow in your toilet- 10 being nearly impossible)

Wisteria is a 1.5 (only because it might lose a few leaves in shipping)

Lighting:

Can handle super low lighting, grows faster in high light

Where to Plant:

Background or float it.

Little rough

Hello, these are the 3 plants I bought at the end of March 2026, and I put them in my 40 gallon breeder tank on April 01, 2026:

1) Water Wisteria (Hygrophila difformis) .....

2) Ludwigia Repens .....

3) Ludwigia "Triple Red"
.......

I wanted to wait a little bit before doing a review. it's been 2 months now and I have been using liquid fertilizer (from aquarium co-op) and root tabs for my amazon swords (that I bought elsewhere).

so far, the Water Wisteria has been doing kind of ok. some of the leaves fell off the bottom of the stems so there's a good 4" of bare stems at the bottom. there are a few roots coming out of the nodes on the stems though. the tops of the plant look lush and green. I just wish it would push out more leaves.

the Ludwigia Repens and Ludwigia "Triple Red" are not doing that well. the leaves keep falling off, same as the Wisteria, but they just keep falling off and floating around the tank. the stems are turning black on the one species. both have 4+ inches of bare stem on the bottom part of the plant. I'm not sure why they seem to Not be pushing out new growth?

I'm using fertilizer and root tabs so I'm not sure why they still look rough.

any tips?

Every single time I order from Dustin I can honestly say that The quality is outstanding! I never have to worry about the plants being dead or having no roots. These are fabulous. As always. They have full Roots and are a wonderful addition to my tanks!!!

Arrived fast and healthy

Plants arrived on 80-degree day but arrived healthy and ready to plant in my tank. Not only spruced up my tank but fish gravitated to them quickly. Bundles easy to break up and plant where desired. Big cosmetic improvement in addition to what they add to water quality.

Beautiful plants

This was the first time I have ordered from Dustin, it will not be the last... The plants came well packed with a little cold pack, all were wrapped with care. They are all beautiful and each one had roots. Makes my tank look so nice.
Thank you...
