Crypt Spiralis is one of hardier species of Crypts that I have just recently started keeping. Crypt Spiralis has thicker leaves and grows taller. It also has a tendency to shoot off runners all over other parts of your tank. Crypt Spiralis makes a great background plant. The thing that shocks me about Crypt Spiralis is how when we got it in, it didn't melt like most crypts. NOTE: That doesn't mean it won't melt in your tank, but it will grow back. If you have never kept a Crypt before, you should start with Crypt Spiralis....great hardy Crypt!
Care Scale of 1-10:
1.5 The .5 is only because it might melt back if what we are selling has not fully converted to underwater growth... (grows better in good substrate BUT can plant in plain gravel)
1.0 If it is a small plug like in the second picture which means we've been growing it submerged for a month or two :)
Grows fine in low light. Will send off runners faster if it is under higher light.
Where to Plant:
Back ground or mid ground if it is a really tall tank.
TRY THIS PLANT IF YOU WANT THE EASIEST CRYPTS I SELL..
Pairs well with Anubias..
Awesome plant, large on arrival, and I know they'll only get bigger! Got them as an alternative to Vallisneria.
came in a bundle of 5 or so. Leaves were a bit warped from earlier growth but they were healthy. Slight trimming and they are doing fantastic.
The plant came in beautiful as Dustin’s plants usually are! I see a small amount of melt but not bad at all. They have been in my tank for a week.
Plants are ig and healthy
I love these beautiful crypts. Very wispy looking, love them. They arrived quickly, in great shape and packaged well.
