Crypt Spiralis is one of hardier species of Crypts that I have just recently started keeping. Crypt Spiralis has thicker leaves and grows taller. It also has a tendency to shoot off runners all over other parts of your tank. Crypt Spiralis makes a great background plant. The thing that shocks me about Crypt Spiralis is how when we got it in, it didn't melt like most crypts. NOTE: That doesn't mean it won't melt in your tank, but it will grow back. If you have never kept a Crypt before, you should start with Crypt Spiralis....great hardy Crypt!
Will come in grown underwater vs. above water growth! *Picture shows above water*
Care Scale of 1-10:
1.5 The .5 is only because it might melt back if what we are selling has not fully converted to underwater growth... (grows better in good substrate BUT can plant in plain gravel)
1.0 If it is a small plug like in the second picture which means we've been growing it submerged for a month or two :)
Grows fine in low light. Will send off runners faster if it is under higher light.
Where to Plant:
Back ground or mid ground if it is a really tall tank.
TRY THIS PLANT IF YOU WANT THE EASIEST CRYPTS I SELL..
Pairs well with Anubias..
Shipped fast and plants are healthy!
Unfortunately, two of the plants that I received melted away to nothing upon putting them in my tank. The third plant, however, has been going strong and has developed a nice, healthy root system. I would recommend.
I ordered I imagine it was one bundle of this plant. I received two bundles when I took the bundles apart and spread them across the back of my tank it ended up being 6 plants I had three of the plants that had a little melting but that was it after 3 days of being in my tank two of the plants already have new leaves coming out totally amazed. Tank on
I ordered this with three other plants. I have a 29 gallon tall that when I look into it it is literally full of plants now thanks to Dustin's fish tank. All the plants we're healthy looking overall I was very pleased
Ordered one crypt spirialis and in that one bundle was 3 plants that I was able to separate out. They are already showing signs of new growth. Am getting a little melting, but that's to be expected with crypts. Great stuff Dustin!
