My experience with Rotala is that it is undemanding of high light, but will grow more compact in higher light. Rotala rotundifolia will be a bit more leggy in lower light.

This may be my new favorite!

I got this as a bonus with my previous order and went back to get more. I got two bonus plants again! Just like before, these came in beautifully colored and lush. Despite the cold, minimal leaf loss was present on all of the plants.

Fantastic quality

Dustin isn't lying when he says they look fantastic! Received a heaping bunch that looks absolutely stunning. You won't be disappointed!

Frustrating

I hate the rock and foam on the roots. The roots grow through the foam and when you pull it off all the roots break off. Has to be a better way.

R. rotundifolia is a fast growing, tough plant

I was pleased to receive two bunches of R. rotundifolia 'Red' for the price of one. They were a bit mangled upon arrival, but now after a few days are developing well currently adjacent R. rotundifolia 'Indinca.' They were obviously grown terrestrially then transferred to fully aquatic for I assume 2-3 weeks prior to shipping. The terrestrial leaves have defoliated leaving some bare stalks, but once established new branches should appear. The color upon arrival is excellent. I may transfer some next spring to my water feature outside and grow them terrestrially to see what the color of the blossom will be. R. rotundifolia 'Indinca' does reasonably well there save for the hottest summer days and winters over reasonably well. R. rotundifolia is a durable, fast-growing plant!

Instant transformation

The care put into the packaging and shipping the plants is the first thing I noticed. Second was the volume of plants you get for the order you place. I almost didn’t have enough space for everything. The plants are healthy and interesting. I have made multiple purchases from Dustin’s and will continue to do so.
