Now shipping Aponogeton Boivinianus! A nice fast growing plant once it gets settled. Aponogeton boivinianus is a large, strong plant which is suitable for large aquariums. A bulb plant from Madagascar. In favorable conditions it can form very large leaves (up to 30" long and 3" wide).

The oldest leaves are deep dark-green, while younger leaves are light-green and sometimes brownish until they are fully developed. In the wild Aponogeton boivinianus is found in fast-flowing water, and it prefers some flow in the aquarium water. It needs a dormant period when the bulb does not produce leaves. This plant will give you a nice contrast in your planted aquarium.

The leaves are nice and thick and can handle the abuse of some fish. If you want a contrast and a plant that gets big. Grab an Apongeton Boivinianus. (If you want to get extra fancy, check out our Madagascar Lace Plants for sale....not as beefy, but with lace leaves :)

Aponogeton boivinianus

Plants arrived looking great. Will be planting them today so we’ll have to wait and see how they do but I don’t anticipate any issues. Other plants I’ve received from Dustin have done very well so I’m definitely a repeat customer. The plants did have snails on them so if you don’t like them just simply rinse them off before placing them in your tank.

It's surely alive and growing. You can see some growth on them.

My fish killed it in a day

Not sure how it's supposed to survive cichlids when mollies and platties and rosy barbs chewed it to bits in 36hrs. Waste of money.
