Cryptocoryne Spiralis
Crypt Spiralis is one of hardier species of Crypts that I have just recently started keeping. Crypt Spiralis has thicker leaves and grows taller. It also has a tendency to shoot off runners all over other parts of your tank. Crypt Spiralis makes a great background plant. The thing that shocks me about Crypt Spiralis is how when we got it in, it didn't melt like most crypts. NOTE: That doesn't mean it won't melt in your tank, but it will grow back. If you have never kept a Crypt before, you should start with Crypt Spiralis....great hardy Crypt!
Care Scale of 1-10:
1.5 The .5 is only because it might melt back if what we are selling has not fully converted to underwater growth... (grows better in good substrate BUT can plant in plain gravel)
1.0 If it is a small plug like in the second picture which means we've been growing it submerged for a month or two :)
Lighting:
Grows fine in low light. Will send off runners faster if it is under higher light.
Where to Plant:
Back ground or mid ground if it is a really tall tank.

An alternative to this plant for a similar look would be Jungle VAL!

As usual Dustin comes thru again! Plants come in packed very well, alive and very healthy. Was able to split plant 3 ways and all three are thriving!
Love the way the leaves grow in with wavy edges, and have a mix of colors on the leaves instead of just green.
In my opinion the plant looks great planted amongst a mess of jungle val!
