Red Tiger Lotus- (Dwarf Aquarium Lily)- EASY RED Aquarium Plant
Red Tiger Lotus are an amazing plant that I really just got into not all that long ago. I love the big red leaves and the unique shape of the plant. As with most red plants, with Red Tiger Lotus, you are going to want to make sure that they have substantial nutrients in their substrate. The better the substrate the better the Red Tiger Lotus will grow. I wouldn't advise trying to keep a Red Tiger Lotus without Dirt or some really substantial root fertilizer.
They say to cut it back so it grows better. I have never personally done this, but it isn't a bad idea for how to care for a red tiger lotus. The Red Tiger Lotus is from west Africa and just looks great as a contrast in you planted aquarium tank. You get so much of an interesting plant with such a great red that I really love this plant.
Red Tiger Lotus is totally a top ten favorite plant of mine.
NOTE: These plants are soo phat that I hand wrap them in wet paper so that they are delivered perfectly to you.
This plant might lose a leaf or two in shipping as they are so thin, but they grow back quickly.

It's over 100 degrees and the plants were delivered at 3:30 after riding in the truck for 6 hours. I was worried. Nobody packages plants better than Dustin. The ice pack was melted and warm, I was really worried. The plants were carefully wrapped in paper then sealed in plastic. All the leaves look great! They are in my tank, and they are lovely. I love everything about these lilys. They have already proven their hardiness.

I have a 75 gallon planted aquarium that started out with mostly java fern (because my Buenos Aires tetras don't eat it). Got this plant to give my tank some variety and in a matter of weeks, great big red lily pads grew all the way to the surface and nothing touched it! I just let them grow. Seems like you get a new shoot about once a week. When one dies, I remove it and another one quickly replaces it. My large angel fish seem to love to hang out in the shoots too, which is kind of cool. I will certainly be adding another one to my tank.
I love my Red Tiger Lotus plants. The fish do too.
