Mayaca Vandelii is an awesome contrast plant in your aquarium.
THIS IS A MEGA EASY PLANT.
We have seen this plant get shipped in the hot summer sun, TO TEXAS and back to us on a UPS fail, and comes back to us and be still alive 6 days later!
This plant is a fast grower.
The small fine leaves would look great with a Ludwigia or another round leaf plant.
We use this plant in many "Can't Kill It" combos for a reason. It is RUGGED.
Mayaca Vandelli is a great plant for baby fish or fry.
We have kept this plant in unheated tanks that got down to as low as 50. (I can't tell you how long it would live that cold- but it can take some cold)
You could even try this plant with Axolotls as it doesn't need much light to grow and can take the cold.
I would rate the difficulty of this plant as a 1 out of 10.
If you give Mayacas a tad more light and a tiny bit of iron it will grown great for you and have a more lush green to it.
These plants have huge roots from us sitting on them for 2 weeks.

This stuff looks so majestic in the tank!!!!
This is my first purchase of this type plant. Is this the color it is supposed to be? It seems to be a little pale in color, not very green. Is this normal?
The plant look really nice
Dustin never Dissapponts. I check out the half off plants every week and wanted to try these out for some contrast across my tanks. I added them to 4 different tanks with varying water temperature and parameters. I added two bunches to my cold axolotl tank and others to my tropicals. They look healthy and I have no doubt that they'll thrive.
All the beautiful plants arrived healthy and look great as I used them in 3 different tanks. The Easy Red combo pack will look perfect in my cherry Red Muzel Tetra tank, while the Mayacas are going to do the job in my Dwarf Red Wag Platy tank. Special thanks to Whitney.
