Hygrophila corymbosa 'Parawitota.'

This plant is my second favorite kind of Hygrophila, second- only behind, Hygrophila cordata "RED"or Hygro Compacts.

This plant is rough and rugged but still has a sweet looking stem and leaves. This is a stout little plant.

I have watched this plant send off new growth in a very short amount of time.  I recommend Hygrophila corymbosa 'Parawitota' to anyone needing a unique contrast to their background or mid ground.

Under higher light this plant will even give you a nice vain of red at the top of it. (We have seen it get a redish hue to the top of it)

While I don't know your fish. If you can get this thing pinned down in the gravel I don't think cichlids would be able to mess with it much as it has such strong leaves and stems

Grab some of this super hardy Hygrophila corymbosa 'Parawitota.

This plant can handle LOWER LIGHTING.

It likes a good substrate but can grow in just gravel.

CO2 is not required and Cichlids have a hard time beating it up :)

Great Plants

I ordered 2 of the Parawitota and some other hydrophilias and plants arrived in great condition. A big bundle of plants and Dustin even threw in a bonus red plant (Pic of red extra plant front right). Thank you Dustin.

hardy indeed!

Coming from someone who's had a poor track record with aquarium plants, this is a great find. I mean, I've even managed to destroy anubias and java fern, the "bullet-proof" plants!
Hygrophilia Corymbosa "Parowitada" was shipped along with my other selections in the tank, arrived exactly when it was supposed to, and looked none the worse for having been in a shipping package for a few days. On top of that, it's been a hot July and this plant didn't seem to mind. A decent root system was already present, and Dustin's gave me more in the bundle than I expected.
Now, I don't have AC, so my tanks have all been reading in the low 80s this past few weeks. Not much I can do about that. My fear was that the plants would all wither and die in this temp range, but so far none have. And the HCP is faring the best out of all of them.
Planted 5 days in my tank and little sign of melt so far. It's early, but I'm hopeful about this one. Possibly already seeing the green growth that was promised at the tips. Yay!
(HCP in the pic is planted on both sides of the tank, behind the HC Compactas and in front of the Rotalas.)
