Red Tiger Lotus are an amazing plant that I really just got into not all that long ago. I love the big red leaves and the unique shape of the plant. As with most red plants, with Red Tiger Lotus, you are going to want to make sure that they have substantial nutrients in their substrate. The better the substrate the better the Red Tiger Lotus will grow. I wouldn't advise trying to keep a Red Tiger Lotus without Dirt or some really substantial root fertilizer.

They say to cut it back so it grows better. I have never personally done this, but it isn't a bad idea for how to care for a red tiger lotus. The Red Tiger Lotus is from west Africa and just looks great as a contrast in you planted aquarium tank. You get so much of an interesting plant with such a great red that I really love this plant.

Red Tiger Lotus is totally a top ten favorite plant of mine.

WARNING- The bulb might come away from the plant. It will be ok and you might get a SECOND PLANT from the bulb. Just plant the newly free plant.

NOTE: These plants are soo phat that I hand wrap them in wet paper so that they are delivered perfectly to you.

This plant might lose a leaf or two in shipping as they are so thin, but they grow back quickly.

*We Do Not Guarantee the bulb will sprout*

The SMALL PLANT will already be sprouted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'd love to give you an alternative to this plant but there is no alternative to Red Tiger Lotus!

I don't do this will all plants, Ludwigia and Red Tiger Lotus mainly...

Care Scale of 1-10 ( 1 it can grow in your toilet- 10 being nearly impossible)

Red Tiger Lotus is a 3 (it will do better with good substrate)

Lighting:

Can handle super low lighting, grows faster in higher light

Where to plant:

Background, or foreground if you keep trimming it down.

Best Tiger Lotus Supplier PERIOD! (BEST PLANTS PERIOD IN ALL HONESTY)

Dustin’s is the place if you want plants! I have never had any issues at all and never experienced any melting. Everything has always arrived perfect and has taken off when placed in the tank. The tank shown is a 40 breeder heavily stocked with plants and fish. Look at that beautiful red Lotus. There is a lot of color in this tank all from Dustin’s and I do not use CO2 or even ferts, just root tabs. I attribute the lush growth from how Dustin keeps his plants, growing submerged. Dustin’s will not sell plants unless they meet his standards unlike a lot of vendors. I have tried many vendors and can testify that Dustin’s is bar none the best there is. The quality and quantity you receive is unmatched!

Dustin’s Red Tiger Lotus are 🔥🔥🔥🙌🙌🙌

I ordered and received 2 small Red Tiger Lotus from Dustin’s Fishtanks and received exactly what was advertised and I was expecting. I received a very informative follow up email from them explaining what to expect from the Lotus and how to plant and care for them. Both arrived super well packaged and I followed the follow up instructions (my plants had detached as Dustin told me and I expected) replanted the detached plants and clipped everything very small (I want a small growing plant and Dustin gave instructions on how to do that as well). I also fed them well at the roots like Dustin said with aqua soil AND root tabs. I count 7-8 new sprouts in 4 days of being planted as instructed. Can’t wait to see what these look like in a month!

Beautiful red tiger lotus

I received my red tiger.Lotus bulb with several good sized red leaves, all intact in healthy. There's been zero wilting, nor any other problems even though it got a preventative
alum dip for possible snails. It's beautiful and healthy just like the other Dustin plants I received. Will definitely be ordering plants from destin's fish tank again in the future!

Plants plants plants

I am a fairly new to aquarium plants. I’ve tried them in the past with little success…have only been able to keep anubias and ferns alive. I really love the natural look of planted tanks so I decided to try them out again and ordered a few plants a few weeks ago and then again a week ago. Everything but the anubias are from Dustin’s fish tanks. All plants arrived pretty quickly in great condition and look amazing in my tank!! I did find a hitchhiking snail (which I kept) and a few worms so if you don’t want them in your tank, make sure to rinse them thoroughly beforehand. I also got a bottle of growth juice which so far seems to be doing its job. I’m upgrading one of my other tanks in the next few days and my son is redoing his tanks decor so I’ll be ordering more plants soon!! I am obsessed with watching my tanks even more now!!
