Anubias Coffeefolia

You get what you pay for. 

I am always pumped to have a new species of Anubias available to you all. Anubias Coffeefolia is one that I simply can't always get my hands on. The last time I got it in I ended up keeping it all for myself - hey- I am a hobbyist too you know! Anubias Coffeefolia is noticeably different than other species of Anubias we carry because of its dark leaves.

You can see that the leaves not only get a darker green, but they also have ridged veins on them unlike other Anubias. This Anubias- like many other species of anubias - like harder water and a PH of 7 or higher. It can also be kept in lower light aquariums. Anubias is a slow grower and prefers to be tied to a piece of rock or driftwood. Please remember that you can plant the roots down into your substrate but always make sure to keep the rhizome ABOVE the substrate.

Care Scale of 1-10: ( 1- it can grow in your toilet- 10 being nearly impossible)

Anubias Coffeefolia is a 1.5   The only reason it is not a 1 is because it doesn't like soft water.

Lighting:

Can handle super low lighting, grows faster

NOTE: Anubias Coffeefolia likes a bit of water flow as it is a slow grower and this will keep stuff off of its leaves.

Where to Plant:

Tie it to some driftwood or to a rock. (Ask us for FREE wire to go in with your order.) Again- Don't bury it in the gravel :)
