Red Tiger Lotus are an amazing plant that I really just got into not all that long ago. I love the big red leaves and the unique shape of the plant. As with most red plants, with Red Tiger Lotus, you are going to want to make sure that they have substantial nutrients in their substrate. The better the substrate the better the Red Tiger Lotus will grow. I wouldn't advise trying to keep a Red Tiger Lotus without Dirt or some really substantial root fertilizer.

They say to cut it back so it grows better. I have never personally done this, but it isn't a bad idea for how to care for a red tiger lotus. The Red Tiger Lotus is from west Africa and just looks great as a contrast in you planted aquarium tank. You get so much of an interesting plant with such a great red that I really love this plant.

Red Tiger Lotus is totally a top ten favorite plant of mine.

WARNING- The bulb might come away from the plant. It will be ok and you might get a SECOND PLANT from the bulb. Just plant the newly free plant.

NOTE: These plants are soo phat that I hand wrap them in wet paper so that they are delivered perfectly to you.

This plant might lose a leaf or two in shipping as they are so thin, but they grow back quickly.

*We Do Not Guarantee the bulb will sprout*

The SMALL PLANT will already be sprouted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'd love to give you an alternative to this plant but there is no alternative to Red Tiger Lotus!

I don't do this will all plants, Ludwigia and Red Tiger Lotus mainly...

Care Scale of 1-10 ( 1 it can grow in your toilet- 10 being nearly impossible)

Red Tiger Lotus is a 3 (it will do better with good substrate)

Lighting:

Can handle super low lighting, grows faster in higher light

Where to plant:

Background, or foreground if you keep trimming it down.

No Tiger Lotus

Rating this a three only because I did not receive a tiger lotus. Instead I received a banana plant. All of my order came in great shape and I was really looking forward to that tiger lotus.

Quality mature healthy plants

What more can you expect? A fair price? reliable? healthy plants? deliered well packed and on time? instructions on care? The plants and bulbs are in my tanks and doing well.
Dustin's has it all. I highly recommend them.

Two outta three ain't bad

My first order from this seller. Also my first order of this particular plant. These are bulbs. I ordered 3 of them, not quite knowing what to expect. Two of the bulbs had a skinny little "stem" with a delicate red leaf or two on it. The third one unfortunately was just the bulb minus any growth. I did read (somewhere), not to worry, just plant the bulb and it should come to life - as long as I don't plant it upside down. So fingers crossed. First order and I am extremely impressed. Even before seeing the plants, one look at how carefully, with a loving hand, this order has been packaged was telling me this seller cares for both their products but also for their customers.

Great Bulb type plant

I like the large colorful leaves that add a contrast the other plants in my aquarium
