Aponogeton longiplumulosus is a beautiful plant that flowers frequently. It's a Madagascar native plant. The long spindly leaves make for a wonderful aesthetic and they grow and sprout like crazy. This plant does have a hibernation period. It will periodically die back for a few weeks and then begin to grow again. I love watching this plant flower. Don't miss out on the limited supply we have!
This plant came to me highly stressed and I doubt it will survive. We shall see.
My longiplumulosus arrived beautiful and healthy looking. I put it into quarantine for a few days to allow snails to move off, but in this time the plant became a bit melty. I've planted it into two different tanks and will see how it does under different conditions (one CO2 with root tabs, the other is a low-tech walstad). I'm hoping to get some good growth back because it is a beautiful plant.
My order came with a sizeable portion of Aponogeton longoplumulosus - there were several plants in the bundle with healthy roots. I can't wait to watch these grow in!
The amount of plants Dustin manages to pack into every order is insane. In this order I purchased 4 different plants and received 5 portions of aponogeton longiplumulosus, 8 individual plants of crypts (bronze and hudoroi), at least 10 tall stems of ludwigia glandulosa, and at least 20 stems of rotala macranda.
The value is incredible, and it's made even better by the fact that all of these plants have already transitioned to underwater growth with super healthy roots.
The a. longiplumulosus in particular almost looks like a type of seaweed because of its tall undulated leaves. Mine came in bright to olive green. Can't wait to see how they grow in the tank!
