Like Most floating plants.... Red Root floaters grow like CRAZY. (Floating plants get MORE light than regular plants and because they are ABOVE the water line get WAY more CO2...ala Super fast growth) How fast do red root floaters grow? They grow so fast USDA did a study and found them able to grow in the wild in south Florida.
So yes- this is an EASY PLANT.
10-15 leaves is a portions. Portion size is the first photo with the ruler.
These are RED PLANTS for us as we use this thing called the sun. Under lower light conditions these plants will turn a more green look. The RED comes with high light.
NO CO2 so special anything needed BUT LIGHT.
NOTE: We do our best not to ship this with any other pest plants but you might get a piece of Azolla accidentally in with it. LOOK OVER your plants before you put them in your tank.

As always plants arrived quickly and in good condition. I also ordered some water lettuce. My smaller fish are enjoying the roots to hide in. I'm hoping the floating plants will help to reduce the nitrates in my aquarium that are causing algae.
Love the red root floaters I ordered and even more I love the hitchhikers that came with them. I don't believe in bleaching plants to kill "pest", those "pests" like the plants are a welcome addition to my 30 gallon shrimp tank. Those "pests" are rams horn snails which i absolutely love as much as shrimp, the red root floaters are growing well with my lighting thank you for a high quality plant and the little hitchhikers will be purchasing more plants in the future.
Dustin hooked me up with quite a bit of red root floaters in my order, literally enough for three 55 gallon aquariums in one package. Dude is always generous and transparent with what you're receiving. Every bit of these floaters showed up healthy and vibrant.
The floaters came as expected and were very healthy! I received 2 large bunches and a few smaller bits! Very happy with the plants.
I ordered the redroot floaters for my 6gallon shrimp tank and 20 gallon betta tank.
Dustin and his team give you ALOT of plant for you buck here. After washing them, separating the good from the ok from the junk I was able to add to both tanks a decent amount.
I only found 1 really great floater, but I'm confident the rest will grow up to be amazing.
