My order was placed ahead of a weekend trip and I wasn't sure if they'd arrive before or after the trip, so I promptly emailed and asked to have it processed the following Monday, to which Dustin's obliged.
When i received my plants, they were in very bad shape - some of the worse I've seen in a delivery. It was chalked up to melt, so I added them to my tanks. As 2 weeks in-tank progressed, just about all the plants were completely dead and reduced to a brown mush at the bottom of the tanks. So at this point, I followed up to inform that as I had suspected, it wasn't just a melting period. Didnt get a reply for a handful of days until I sent another follow up message.
The following days were back and forth, asking about my experience with plants, lighting, tank temperature, fertilizer regiment, inhabitants of the tanks, etc. Bear in mind, all of my previous plants are still doing perfectly, so it's unlikely to be anything other than the plants received.
After multiple days of Q&A about the tanks, the response I received was that that's unusual, and they have no idea why that happened. I'm wondering if they didn't wait to process my order as requested and decided to bag/package it up, and my order was sitting in a box in a warehouse for 5 or 6 days before even being shipped.
Waste of over $100 in plants, no offer to correct the situation by refund nor replacement. And keep in mind, every one of the plants that's been in my tanks for years is alive and well. So it's safe to say the problem isn't my tanks. There was no reply received after I responded to the most recent message.
TLDR: wasted over $100 on plants that arrived on their last leg and didn't make it, reason they give is essentially "that's odd, no clue" and no route to correct the situation despite loads of information and photos provided, all as requested.
