Want a fast growing, unique looking plant that will help filter your water? Check out Water Hyacinth. This stuff grows like crazy. In fact, it grows so quickly that it is considered an invasive species in WA, WI, IN, and Florida. What I like about it is that it also looks pretty crazy too. It has a different looking little bubble that grows above it along with a spoon like leaf on top of that.

If your pond needs some fast floating cover, water hyacinth is your answer. You get one big 7-9 inch clump of it per order.

Hmmmm….

I received my package (3 items ordered), box was in good shape, but very hot. I opened it up to find a silver bubble wrap envelope that too was hot. I thought to myself oh dear, and I opened the envelope to find a plastic bag of hot yellow ish plants packed in warm water. The dry ice plastic debris was flat and warm. I quickly opened the individual plastic bags and removed the mushy yellow parts, ran under cool water and then put in my outdoor pond. I will monitor over the next week, but overall I’m not impressed.

I was really excited to receive this plant and it is even more beautiful upon arrival. Several healthy leaves and I did NOT expect the stunning purple roots. I am thrilled!

I don't think they will make it.

I've ordered from this company before, and the plants were beautiful. Everything was wonderfully packaged. Quick shipping...until now. I ordered 2 water hyacinth and when I opened them, they looked...not good. I really hoped once I put it in my tanks they would perk up. One had a bit of green left. The other...well, I just hoped one survived and would grow fast. Today, after checking on them, I don't even think the one will survive.

Packaged great, prompt shipping, which is why I gave it 2 stars. I'm not sure if I should have waited for Monday to order. Or if it was just bad luck.

My water hyacinth I got last year was amazing! I just couldn't get it to overwinter. This was the first time I ever had an issue with this company.
