Vallisneria Asiatica Biwaensis
NOTE: The photos labeled "AS OF 7/24/26" is what the plant looks like that we are selling.
"Hello my name is Dustin and I have a Val problem."
The first step is admitting the problem right? I love Val and am on a quest to collect ALL of the varieties of Val. I have said it before and I'll sat it again. I would like val in my coffin if something happens to me.
Enter- The next Val. Val Asiatica Biwaensis.
What does it's name mean? I have no idea. Something to do with Asia. Here is what we do know. It's pretty killer.
This Val is like a mix between Spiral Val (or Val Torta/ corkscrew) with the spiral leaves crossed with GIANT Val.
Yep- it has a thicker and wider leaf to it with a neat spiral as well.
Because of the thicker leaves of this species of Vallisneria, it will take tad longer to grow back than a thin variety if they melt back.
Customer Reviews
Received a small bunch but only 2 leaves in good shape. Waiting to see how it rebounds, but hopeful.
I love the fast shipping and great packing when I receive my plants from Dustin's. The VAB arrived in great shape and love the appearance of the plant. Looks alot like a Corkscrew Val. Gotta have the plant juice to keep all the plants fed and looking great also !
Very nice thank you
Just received this plants today and they are beautiful, very satisfied, but they forgot to send my order of Java ferns and I sent a email for them to resend them but never herd back so now I don’t know what to do because I’m needing them now to finish all my scape.
The order for 1 netted 4 healthy looking stalks about 8 -9 inches tall and with decent roots. I trimmed away a few wilting strands and planted them the same day. Everything looking good so far and I am satisfied that I got a fair deal. Not the first time I have purchased from Dustin and have never been disappointed.
