Ludwigia Peruensis.

These are a wicked plant for us right now. This Ludwigia takes a minute to convert to underwater growth. We have done the work for you. These have been under for just under 2 weeks....and ready to rock in your aquarium.

Like all Ludwigia, this plant likes to be spread out for better growth at the lower levels. It also enjoys, but doesn't require a great substrate. (What we are selling comes in a pot with 5 beefy stems.  We put dirt down into the base of to feed these suckers, resulting in an AWESOME PLANT.

That said, you will get even more reds out of this plant with fertilizer and a tiny bit of iron.

If you want a great looking hardy red in your aquarium, This Ludwigia is rolling!

NOTE: We have found this plant doesn't care AT ALL about a hard hack trim. If you grab one of these and are willing to be patience, you could chop it into a few 2-3 inch plants and they will grow with time.

First but not last order

I have a 125-gallon planted community tank. I have basic beginner plants thus far such as Java Fern, Amazon Sword, Jave Fern, Dwarf Sag, Dwarf Hair Grass, Jungle Val, & Giant Hair Grass. So, from this list, you can tell that this is a LOT of green ONLY plants. The wife and I wanted to introduce/add more color rather than just Green. I've been stalking Dustin's Fish Tanks for several months now, using the site to learn from, make a wish list of what I would eventually like to add to the tank, and like I stated add a color other than just green. So after some looking over the available red plants, we finally decided to give Ludwigia Peruensis & Ludwigia inclinata (Wow Red) a shot. The Ludwigia Peruensis was chosen due to its fullness and deep red color. The Ludwigia inclinata (Wow Red) was also picked due to its growth patterns and mainly for its achievable broad color spectrum. During its growth cycle, it seems to go from a dark yellow then to orange, and finally to its namesake of "Wow Red" which appears to be its prefect name.
She unboxed the bundles and carefully rinsed them while an inspection was completed My wife followed my instructions of leaving the bundles intact for the next few days until I can return home.
