LUDWIGIA OVALIS "Tiger" (6 Bare Stems)
Ludwigia Ovalis
NOTE: The plant we are selling look like the plants in the basin shots. They have redish tips with more green under them. These are NICE PLANTS that have been underwater for almost 2 weeks with new growth and roots all over.
We are proud of the many varieties of Ludwigia we offer. We "have the sauce" with these plants.
Ludwigia Ovalis is no exception. It has bright ROUND (Oval) leaves. It has a more redish color than it's "cousin" (and hot selling) Ludwigia Repens. This plant has a cool striped pattern to its leaves as it changes from green to red.
Like with more plants of the same genus, the fancier you get, the harder they are to keep. HOWEVER. This Ludwigia gives you some of the most "color vs work" That is to say, Ludwigia Ovalis while good looking, isn't as hard to keep as other plants giving this much color with much more work required.
Ludwigia Ovalis is a BACKGROUND plant.
It can handle lower light conditions, but with more light it gives you MUCH MORE Color.
ALSO- We have found ALL Ludwigia species Explode with a good nutrient rich substrate. (We use Dirt like out "Dustin's Dirt Packs") But but roots on Ludwigia should not be ignored.
