Like Most floating plants.... Red Root floaters grow like CRAZY. (Floating plants get MORE light than regular plants and because they are ABOVE the water line get WAY more CO2...ala Super fast growth) How fast do red root floaters grow? They grow so fast USDA did a study and found them able to grow in the wild in south Florida.
So yes- this is an EASY PLANT.
10-15 leaves is a portions. Portion size is the first photo with the ruler.
These are RED PLANTS for us as we use this thing called the sun. Under lower light conditions these plants will turn a more green look. The RED comes with high light.
NO CO2 so special anything needed BUT LIGHT.
NOTE: We do our best not to ship this with any other pest plants but you might get a piece of Azolla accidentally in with it. LOOK OVER your plants before you put them in your tank.

Healthy with long roots on most of them. I would've liked a little more for the price, but luckily, I got 2 and hopefully they'll propagate soon enough.
Plants came in healthy and in GENEROUS portions. Packaged with a heat pack accounting for a cold snap.
I found Dustin's online after being generally disappointed with the quality and selection in my local store. I ordered the red root floaters and dwarf sagittaria to round out my first planted tank. The plants arrived in great shape! The red root floaters looked amazing and I got way more than I expected. I ordered two and was able to keep/use 99% of the plants. The pictures are after trimming the roots. I can't wait to see how these beautiful plants grow in. I even got some of the growth juice to really help them take off.
Overall my plants came in good condition and healthy, only problem I had was a snail got into the packaging of the frog bit so some of them were eaten but the ones that weren’t affected or were salvaged are doing great and so are all my other plants!!
1 of the plants has a root reaching over a foot into the tank! Beautiful, bright red, and healthy! I waited a week to write a review. They all had a small amount of wilt, which recovered quickly. Its already starting to spawn more plants!
