Ultricularia Graminifolia (CARNIVOROUS!?!)
As of 7.24 I have never kept this plant.
Its pretty sick looking though right? This plant is from Sri Lanka (South East Asia) It will more than likely need CO2. (I wouldn't try it without CO2 or a TON of light) It is a slow grower that sends off runners. The FOREGROUND plant can grow up to 5cm tall. From the German supplier....
"Utricularia graminifolia is an elegant, light green foreground plant. We found this variety in the splash zone of small streams in Sri Lanka. In Aquariums this plant needs medium light to gradually produce a thick but very short carpet. Utricularia has a few unique characteristics: it is a CARNIVOROUS PLANT (Killer eh?) and produces special bladder traps to capture passing microorganisms. Fish and shrimp are safe however." I am keeping some for myself but you can have TWO of them. THAT'S IT. (Hey- I like these plants too know you!)
THIS IS NOT AN EASY PLANT. If you kill this we aren't liable. (If it shows up bad that's one thing, and we can work with you.... but after that you are on your own...)
Nothing good was ever easy right? This plant looks like a Tennis ball! If you have a an established tank with CO2. TRY IT!
