This is essentially the same species, except this being the green variant
They say to cut it back so it grows better. I have never personally done this, but it isn't a bad idea for how to care for a tiger lotus. The Tiger Lotus is from west Africa and just looks great as a contrast in you planted aquarium tank. You get so much of an interesting plant with such a great red that I really love this plant.
*We Do Not Guarantee the bulb will sprout*
We'd love to give you an alternative to this plant but there is no alternative to the Tiger Lotus!
Care Scale of 1-10 ( 1 it can grow in your toilet- 10 being nearly impossible)
Tiger Lotus is a 3 (it will do better with good substrate)
Can handle super low lighting, grows faster in higher light. It also has the potential to handle high temps and lower oxygen environments
Where to plant:
Background, or foreground if you keep trimming it down.
Check out the Red Tiger Lotus too!
After 30+ years keeping aquariums I finally decided to try my hand at some aquarium plants. After a lot of thought and watching countless videos on YouTube, I decided to give my initial business to Dustin at Dustin's Fish Tanks. I could not be happier. My order was for two green tiger lotus, two red tiger lotus, and two tri-color lotus. All of the plants came in as I figured they would, and he even threw in a few extras. Really great customer service, communication, and quick shipping. I'm already looking forward to my next order. A++ experience.
Stuff came in sweet, was even enuff for two tanks ,def buying again! Plus I was first time buyer ,even gave me a extra plant! Tank on D!!
As always order was awesome. Even slipped in a extra. These are good size healthy plants. I never regret ordering from Dustin.
