Hemianthus callitrichoides (Dwarf Baby Tears)
NOTE: The plant that you will receive when you purchase this plant is in the photos labeled "AS OF 3.28.23"
Micranthemum Micranthemoides ....."I want a carpet" This is Dwarf baby tears... this is a CRAZY foreground plant. This is a carpeting plant.
At this time we are selling Hemianthus callitrichoides IN BIGGER PORTIONS
This is what you see in all of the crazy Amano scape. This grows incredibly short and looks killer as a small short foreground plant. (I can't think of a lower growing plant than this)
While it grows incredibly short. So do the plants roots. The short roots make it harder to initially plant...though we have seen people use pins or like clear plastic "Bobby pins"
I would plant this in a GOOD SUBSTRATE.
You need to think of this foreground plant as something that is growing along the edge of a tropical river or lake...FULL SUN. Full sun equals HIGH LIGHT.
I would recommend this plant for more shallow tanks as a more shallow tank has better light penetration, thus more light to this light demanding plant.
CO2 would be recommended for best results with this plant, but you could try it with out.
On a scale of 1 to 10 this plant is a 6-7 range.
