As of 8-02, these swords are healthy, about 8 inches tall, and are eagerly growing roots

Doesn't get larger than about a foot! Bright green, rounded leaves, that have a thicker waxy leave that has a light red hue around the tips of new leaves.

On a scale of 1-10 on ease of keeping, i'd give this plant a 3 at the highest. This is also one of the swords that seems to ship very successfully with less melt than the others. As aforementioned, this is probably because of its waxier leaves than the other swords we encounter. We don't monitor this plant as closely as our stem plants, and it still has no problem being forgotten about :)

Good quality Echinodorus plants.

I have received two Echinodorus muricatus plants in a single bundle (as I understand: one "main" an another - "backup"). 1-2 bigger (older) leaves were melting and some roots were lost during unwrapping (roots were penetrating a sponge wrap) at the time of receive and planting. However, a new growth started soon after planting and both Echinodorus plants showed new young leaves sprouting from a central bud (see a photograph).
