Ludwigia sedioides (Mosaic plant)
This plant is truly THE mosaic plant. Its leaves resemble mosaic tiles where it receives its name.
YOU WILL RECEIVE ONE TO TWO BAREROOT STEMS!
We have had no problem with this plant, even leaving it barerooted, though it receives a solid amount of light. It is a ludwigia, which in our experience, is a generally easy genus of plants to care for.
Perfect plant for pond tanks or ponds in general, but likely will not survive the winter, though our experience hasn't gotten us this far yet! We've been told not to let the pH exceed 9, but we've never had this problem. We've also had them in water at about 50 degrees with no issue, but not for extended periods.
I ordered the mosaic plant and Giant jungle Val. While the packaging wasn’t terrible I feel like it could have been beefed up. Especially with weather. I took off to make sure I was home to receive it and another live order too. The jungle Val seems salvageable but the mosaic came mostly melted. One will be tough to revive the other stem is more hopeful but also iffy.
Plants were tiny! They’ll do fine I’m my pond tho. Like the YouTube channel. Tank on!
Wow, the roots on these things were insane. Now I've bought stem plants from several vendors before, but I've only ever recieved clippings. But these? The roots were MASSIVE! 4-8 inches long per stem, I've never seen such huge, healthy roots on a stem plant in my life.
Planted them a week ago, and they immediately took off and started growing. I use an inert substrate and no root tabs, but these guys just didn't care. One of them grew an entire inch in the first 2 days of being added to my tank just so that it could hit the surface, and all of them are starting to color up and get some nice pinks in the center of the leaf clusters.
I can't wait to see how they look in a month once they've all regrown to their full size, and I will definitely try to include pictures then if the website allows for updating of reviews.
My order arrived quickly and everything was in great condition. The mosaic plant is new to me and I was not disappointed. Two healthy stems. I am floating them for now.
I ordered 4 of these and unfortunately they arrived melted and a day late. They look like they would have been beautiful
