With a beautiful dark lime green color and thick sword like leaves, Anubias Congensis is an outstanding plant for the mid or back ground of your tank. This may very well be the plant you’ve been lacking for the perfect tank. Standing taller than \u003ca style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'San Francisco', 'Segoe UI', Roboto, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif; font-size: 1.4em;\" href=\"https:\/\/dustinsfishtanks.com\/products\/anubias-minima\" title=\"Anubias Minima\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eAnubias Minima\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, Congensis can reach heights of twelve to fourteen inches in a well lit tank. If your tank is not lit to well, that’s not a problem; Congensis will keep shorter leaves and grow slower in a dimmer tank. That being said beginners to experts can find success with this killer Anubias species. Each leaf that is\u003cspan style=\"color: black;\"\u003e produced\u003c\/span\u003e points to the top of the tank and stays vertical at all times. Other Anubias species with blade-like leaves, such as Minima or Frazeri, usually keep the flat surface towards the light, Congensis will not. If you want a plant to fill in a dark spot in the tank or if you’re looking for a splash of brighter green in the tank, Congensis will make a great addition. Like other variants, \u003cstrong\u003eCongensis\u003c\/strong\u003e can handle an array of water parameters; from slightly brackish with a high ph to softer water with ph of 7.0. Personally I have found that the roots of Congenis are thicker than most other Anubias species I have kept, which makes it more difficult to move them around the tank than a smaller plant like Nana. Once planted though, you will not be disappointed. No matter the lighting, substrate, or your level of knowledge in the aquarium hobby, \u003cem\u003eAnubias Congensis\u003c\/em\u003e is an easy to keep, hardy plant. It's a smaller, more petite version of \u003cstrong\u003eAnubias.\u003c\/strong\u003e This variety isn't available as often as I would like it so if you want it- Grab it- because it won't last.\u003c\/span\u003e \u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"\u003eNOTE: I have found that \u003cstrong\u003eAnubias Nana Petite\u003c\/strong\u003e is slightly less hardy then the regular sized Anubias. It is still a hardy plants but probably due to it's smaller size- it isn't as rugged. \u003c\/span\u003e \u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"\u003eThe leaves on this plant are about half an inch and stay that way. Like most Anubias, it is a slow grower and will take a minute to attach to a driftwood or rock.\u003c\/span\u003e \u003cspan style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"\u003eRemember folks. UNLIKE ALL OTHER ANUBIAS. Anubias Gigantia has an ARROW HEAD Leaf.  Yup- Its got style unlike any other Anubias around. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBut with it's style comes a tad more work. This is NOT the hardiest Anubias around. it will require a tad more light than most Anubias. Anubias Gigantia also likes a bit more space.   \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is my assumption that these plants were grown ABOVE water- which is not how we sell plants around here... but it is what it is. We are working on the conversion process. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou should expect spots on these plants.  You should expect a leaf to turn yellow on you. IT'S GONNA HAPPEN. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHOWEVER- UNLIKE ALL OTHER Anubias. I have found this plant to be the fastest healer. It tends to rapidly show off new growth. (Remember- we are watching the CENTER of the plant for new growth- NOT the top leaves)   The old bad growth will not get better so it is best to cut it once you see new growth.
