Water Wisteria AKA The HARDIEST Hygrophila (difformis)
Water Wisteria is simply an AWESOME beginner plant. Water Wisteria (or by it's scientific name- Hygrophila difformis) can take anything you can throw at it.
*IMPORTANT NOTICE**THIS PLANT WAS GROWN ABOVE WATER. THE CONVERSION STARTED 10-2, as of 10-26 it is over 85- 90 % Converted to Submerged growth. (It's been under water almost a month, and will THRIVE in your tank. We just like to be straight up about our stock :)
Wisteria one of those plants that when you get it going it will grow like a weed. Try it out while you are a rookie and see. Water Wisteria does well in a newly planted tank. I like to float it personally as it gets more light and send off some really great long flowing roots. Fish love hiding and breeding in Water Wisteria's roots.
In an order you get 4-6 nice bushy stems of it..often with great roots already going.
The stems are beefy as I have been growing in down in dirt. This picture doesn't do this great plant justice... This is one of our best selling plants for a reason. We grow them in a 90 gallon aquarium in the greenhouse which gets FULL morning sun. The plants love this and grow like crazy for us...then on to you.
NOTE: While Water Wisteria is one of our best selling aquarium plants, we do stock other forms of Hygrophila as well. (Many of our Hygrophila's are just as hardy)
