We have really come a long way with this plant. We used to think it wasn't as hardy as others, but now, after a year of keeping it, it isn't as demanding as we had once thought.
I run this in my friend's aquariums and you can see it kind of over ran the aquarium. It was under one of our "Standard Double LEDs" however it didn't have that great of substrate.
This plant will give you a long flowing look which is a nice contrast to tall and long background plants like Jungle Val.
Grab some Pogostemon Stellata and take the colors of your aquarium to the next level.
I would definitely call this plant an Intermediate Plant. Worth your time to look at and an incredible addition to any tank. I suggest this for someone with a moderate lighting and nutrient set up. On a scale from 1 to 10. 1 being you can grow it in a toilet and 10 being impossible. I give Pogostemon Stellata a 3.5. Because it doesn't like change!. So it has to resettle in it's environment!
Don't Forget To Buy our Growth Juice and Iron Supplements for your plants!!
Plants look great, got a few off the website, they all came in within two days and I couldn’t be happier. The pogostemon even came with some purple towards the top, beautiful plant! Found a pond snail on my Anubias, but that’s to be expected sometimes, always check your plants!
Got this in the cheap Aquarium Plant Combo Package. Awesome stuff! Love it! New favorite! It melted back some, but came back like crazy! It is spreading well, has gotten huge, and has held up exceptionally well to my pain in the neck common pleco. This plant is hardy! What a good choice to put in my combo.
Noted to be a difficult plant, but grows very well in my tanks. I love it, it is a showstopper. buy it today. I even have one tank with some pretty rough cichlids & guess what, the plant still does great with them. Just the best plant around!!!
Got this in the plant of the month box with 9 other types of stem plants and didnt know what it was til right now. Gave it decent substrate blasted it with light and dosed with plant booster 3x a week and these went from the trimmings I took off the top to 10+ inches reaching out of the tank in a week. Gave it lower light in a different tank set up the same and it's going alot slower. Moderately demanding but give it what it wants and itll take off
