I love this water sprite and how it grows up out of the water. I particularly like how you can see how the leaves grow completely differently above water then below. I used to harvest this stuff when I was adding ferts way back when.
Water Sprite can be extremely helpful in combating algae in a tank. For one reason is that it will cut down on light. It will also help absorb nutrients very quickly as well. In all honestly, I have thought about eating it. (haven’t yet..but)
What I’d like to do is get a rimless tank and put some of this stuff in there so you can see it all the way from roots to top outta the water.
Water sprite is easy to keep as long as you don’t have fish who eat it. It is kinda sensitive to tank changes and might take a second to adapt. An example would be if you had it floating and moved it to a tank and planted it.
